My wife woke me up this morning to ask why my Facebook account is deactivated. That’s the message you see from friend’s accounts. When I tried to log in, it said my account was hacked and I needed to go through the security steps. The first code came to my phone just fine, the second code for the 6 digit version of their 2FA wouldn’t come because there’s no phone number listed. I’ve tried everything and nothing’s worked. I see a new account with my number, but when I tried to claim it it said it’s deactivated. When I tried to dispute that it wouldn’t let me because it claimed I was logged in to a working account. And of course “support” doesn’t do anything. I’ve had this account for 11 years. Is there any hope?
